When you receive an email with our music, there will be a link to click on that will download the MP3 file as a ZIP file. So go right ahead and click on the link!
What are Zip Files?
Zip files are a way of compressing files so that they are easier to move around and this is a pretty standard way of sharing music in todays world!
How to unzip our music
On a phone, it should be automatically unzipped for you. You may need to move these files to your audio directory folder for your MP3 player app to find it though.
On a computer, you will need to unzip the files manually but this is nice and easy! You simply have to right click on the Zip file, select your default unzip program and it should get to work!
In the event that you have any problems with unzipping files, try an internet search on 'best free zip software' and see what comes up (personally I switched from Winzip to PeaZip after having issues with Winzip.)
To finish off...
If you're downloading onto a phone or tablet, remember that you may need to move these files into your audio directory so that your MP3 player app can find them.
If you're downloading onto a computer, move your Bustling Tram Society music files to wherever you store your music files on your computer.
